LIFE!! What a precious gift God has given to us. A gift that unfortunately many people take for granted.
Sometimes we get caught up with all our activities during the day. Work, going to meetings, going to the gym, going for groceries... might relate to some of your routines huh? Yeah, happens to me at times too. Then something always happens to get me back on track. Here's what happened this time.
Yesterday, after my workout in the gym, I packed up my things, ready to leave the locker room and I saw a guy who had just finished working out as well. So I asked him " Had a good workout?". He replied "Yeah I did, how about you?". I told him I had a great workout. I then asked him how often does he come to the gym, in which he said he tries to come as often as he can so he can remain healthy. The next words he said struck me BIG time.
He proceeded to say that 2 months ago, he was in a coma. Started out as a regular day. He got up, had breakfast, went to work, had lunch, went back to work again to finish off his hours and then he went to his car to head home. By the time he got into his car, he remembers nothing afterwards. He fell into a coma. Showed me video footage of himself while in the coma on the hospital bed.
Can you guess his age? 27.
How many of you know what will happen tomorrow? How many of you are living your lives as if you already know what tomorrow holds? If this hasn't struck you on how important it is for you to make wise decisions now, I don't know what will. A young, 27 year old man, who doctors said was healthy, who doctors said was fine, who didn't have the slightest thought of anything bad happening that day, just about to head home from work, fell into a coma.
The reality of how precious life is and the reality of how important are the decisions you make today, became even more a reality check for me. I hope it has for you as well.
There's no wrong time to make the right decision.
The only wrong time, is not acting NOW!
